¹⁷If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

¹⁸“I am not talking about all of you. I know those I have chosen. But this is so that the Scripture may be fulfilled: ‘One who eats bread with me has raised his heel against me.’^[a] ¹⁹I am telling you this right now before it happens, so that when it does happen, you may believe that I am he.
